Frequently Asked Questions

Please see the following for some answers to the questions we are frequently asked:

Where is Community Christian Fellowship located?
We are located at 358 Washington Street in Haverhill, MA.
What time are your Sunday services?
We have a 9:30am and 11:30am service. However, at the beginning of the summer and at the end of the summer, we have a Fusion Service at 10:30am where the two services join together for a baptism service and cook-out for the neighborhood! Please check the calendar for specific dates!
How long have you been a church?
While we officially came together as a church in November 2005, we've been making investments in the lives of people in Haverhill, MA since 1998. For more information, please visit the "Our Story" page under the "About Us" menu button. Also, you can check out the feature article in the Elijah Magazine here.
What denomination is your church?
We are a non-denominational church. We have people of all different Christian backgrounds represented as part of our worship experience.
What does the name "Community Christian Fellowship Haverhill" mean?
Our name represents much of our identity as we relate to the community around us. Community - We are committed to seeing community transformation. Christian - We are a Christian church. Fellowship - We believe in connecting with God and each other. Haverhill - We serve the city of Haverhill. When you put this together, we are a "Christian church serving in Haverhill that is commited to community transformation and to connecting with God and each other".
What is Community Christian Fellowship Haverhill's music like?
Our church has a contemporary worship style that uses praise and worship songs to the accompaniment of drums, acoustic/electic guitars, keyboard, bass, etc. However, the focus of our worship is not on being contemporary; rather it is on seeking God's presence through the experience of authentic worship. This means worship for us is not a passive experience performed by the folks up front, but rather the congregration's ministry to God.
How do feel about women serving in ministry?
CCF Haverhill believes in the biblical equality of men and women. Therefore, no distinction is made as to which offices, ministries, or functions are open to men and women. Galatians 3:27-28 (NLT) says "And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus." Our Pastor has been ordained, appointed as Lead Pastor, and is covered by Apostolic men of God that have recognized her gift and calling.
What do you think about the Bible?
We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God and reveals the Father's desire for relationship with humanity.
Is your church only for homeless people?
No. We get this question a lot as our ministry started as an outreach to the homeless in the city of Haverhill. We celebrate that we have a diversity of individuals from all different backgrounds that worship God together. On a Sunday service, as you look around you will find that we have homeless people and business owners, drug addicts and former addicts, single moms and dads, young married couples, elderly, middle aged, men and women, children, young adults, etc.
Can I listen to your sermons online?
Absolutely. You can listen to our sermons by clicking on the "Experience CCF" menu button and choosing the appropriate drop-down.
I've heard CCF Street Church - is this the same church?
Yes. CCF Street Church is our "aka" which combines our name with our mission, which is "taking the love and power of Christ to the streets".
How do I get more information about your church?
